About event

Dear fans of Scottish dances,

the next St. Andrew's ceilidh, which the Caledonian Club prepares every year as a traditional celebration of the feast of the patron saint of Scotland, St. Ondřej, the Ceilidh will take place on November 29, 2024 in the wonderful hall Na Marjánce in Prague. they could listen to the band Ambiam led by Mark Johnston. We will start the dance part of the ceilidh at 19.30.

Alastair Edwards and his band will play for the dance, we expect bagpipe and dance demonstrations as well as hearty refreshments.

In the dance routine you will find not only good old pieces from the offer of ceilidh dances and Scottish country dances, but also news that appeared during this year's seminar, for example. The dances will be chosen so that both advanced and less experienced dancers can dance sufficiently, we will always remind all dances according to the needs of the dancers. We will, of course, send the list of dances and instructions to those registered in advance and display them here. There is no dress code for our ceilidhs, you will definitely see a lot of men in kilts, complete with shirts, t-shirts or jackets. Just come dressed to feel comfortable at a Scots dance. Please note that all areas are traditionally non-smoking.

The price of tickets is CZK 530, but you can get them in advance for a reduced price of CZK 450 (valid for payment by November 15, 2024). Please order by e-mail at [email protected]. After crediting the payment to our account, we will send you a payment confirmation by e-mail, and you will be allowed to enter in your name.

We look forward to meeting you and dancing together on November 29, 2024 in Prague.
