About event
Do you already have a program for the evening of Wednesday, October 23? Don't you have? So come to the cinema with Živena!
🇯🇵 We invite you to the Cinema Lumière at 6 p.m. for an interesting documentary film "Testimonies from the Black Box" about what it's like to be a female journalist in Japan who decides to that he will accuse an influential high-ranking man of rape. The film is an interesting probe into Japanese society and the country's legal system, which even in the 21st century, despite its maturity, accepts and tacitly honors some old rules and customs.
The film won the following awards:

- Lena Sharpe Award for Enduring Vision - Seattle International Film Festival 2024 (USA)
- Human Rights Award - CPH: DOX Copenhagen 2024 (Denmark)
After the film, Živena Bratislava invites you to a discussion with renowned experts on violence against women:
🎤Barbora Burajová - a lawyer who has been working on the issue for a long time of violence, runs a national hotline for women experiencing violence, works at the Institute for Work and Family Research. He currently works at SAV.
🎤Róbert Vavro - therapist/psychologist, the first certified expert for working with men who commit violence against women and children in Slovakia.
