21:00 Orbe Pictus - Video -mapping Pavel Korbička (19 min)
Text: Dalibor Chatrný
Music: Peter Graham This neon design freely follows the poor art variations of cubes, which he devoted to since the age of 70. The installation is designed to be based on a specific part of the architecture of the House of Arts - its dimensions and location refer to the performing hall of Jaroslav Král and respond to the asymmetry, which were created in the building during the reconstruction in 2008–2009. The result is a light object that symbolically balances the proportions of the building and at the same time resembles how the poor in his work worked with space and architecture. At the same time, there is also a distinctive theme of Pavel Korbička - deflection and disturbance of balance. This audiovisual project was created in cooperation with the composer Peter Graham and technician Tomáš Hrůza. Orbe Pictus from 1980, which is based on the Comenius work of the world in paintings (1658), became inspiration. But Fharp has converted it to contemporary, visual-sensory forms in which the viewer becomes part of the storyline. Video mapping is divided into nine pictorial parts, each has a different color background and flowing texts that contrast with colors. The painting is accompanied by natural and emotional organ music, which responds rhythmically to projected scenes and gives the projection another depth and tension. The whole work emphasizes the relationship between the image and the word - the motif that had a crucial place in poor work.
HIS ARTISTIC LANGUAGE IS MARKED BY AN EXTRAordinary Breadth of Experimental Approaches, and Constant Search for New Paths and the Posing of Essential Artistic and Philosophical Questions. In the Second Half of the Century, He Played and Crucial Role in Shaping the Artistic Scene in Brno.
