About event
The Finnish quintet Swallow the Sun, founded in Jyväskylä in 2000, is without a doubt the best Death-Doom bands of the past twenty-five years. The band combines classic doom with elements of melodic death and gothic metal, scandinavian folk melodies and dark atmospheres. However, the new album 'Shining' is the first step in the group on the new path to the unknown. What is known is that they come to play with us in the Melkweg in May. You don't want to miss that!
'Shining' is an exceptional album, because the band wanted to make more than a new Doom record and started to go more on unknown territory. For this they collaborated with Grammy-nominated producer Dan Lancaster (known from Bring Me The Horizon).
