Director Ferzan Özpetek invites his favorite actresses to himself - the ones he worked with, even those he loved. He wants to make a film about women, but he does not tell much: he is watching them, inspired until his imagination is transferred to another era, the past. The voices of the protagonists are accompanied by the noise of sewing machines and the work hustle and bustle. The workshop is a closed world full of courageous and determined women with their passions, fear and anxiety, but also inseparable bonds. The world in which reality overlaps with fiction. Diamonds are not only an elegant celebration of the female universe, which involves eighteen radiant acting stars, but also a tribute to the Italian tailor's tradition and fashion. And above all, a tribute to cinematography, which he talks about from an unexpected perspective - from the costume perspective.
