About event
Regardless of whether you already dance swing, just want to try it out or just try it out - everyone is welcome on November 28th!
For beginners or those who are shy and don't dare to ask (it's not a bad thing not to know all the dances, but it would be a shame not to dance at all!): Swing is a couple dance that emerged from jazz in the USA in the 1920s-1940s. The best-known style and the basis of swing is Lindy Hop, which emerged around 1928 and combines African-American dance steps, Charleston and European influences. It is a cheerful, rhythmic dance, full of jumps and with plenty of room for improvisation between partners.
Now that you know everything, there is no excuse to get carried away by the Swing Base dance school at Maison de France!
Our dance floor is open to beginners, experienced dancers and anyone who wants to try something new.
The program:
7:00 p.m Time: Lindy Hop / Swing course for advanced students
8:00 p.m.: Lindy Hop / Swing for beginners
9:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.: DJ set
From 9:30 p.m.: Live orchestra
Until 1:00 a.m.: Dance the night away!
Price: 20€ // Payment is made on site (cash or card).
