Swing Melody: Jazz On The Roof

As part of the JAZZ ON THE ROOF summer concert series, chamber jazz ensembles will perform on the roof of the Jazz Dock every Saturday, offering a pleasant atmosphere of acoustic jazz, refined solos and summer relaxation with a view of the city.

This time Swing Melody, a professional six-piece orchestra focused on the most famous period of jazz history - swing. Their repertoire includes compositions by legends such as Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and Count Basie, but also well-known Czech songs associated with the names of R. A. Dvorský, Oldřich Nový or Karel Vlach. To achieve an authentic sound, the members of the orchestra use historical musical instruments as well as period sheet music from the 1930s and 1940s.
