Slovak Society for Analytical Psychology C.G. Junga cordially invites you to a Jungian lecture for the public, which will take place on November 22, 2024 at 17:00 at the Salvator Center in Bratislava.
We welcome Susanna Bucher, Jungian analyst and member of the International Association for Analytical Psychology. , environmental scientist and graduate of ISAP ZURICH. In 2022, she wrote two articles about the ecological crisis from the perspective of Jungian psychology in the Journal of Analytical Psychology. Her interests include ecology, nature and mysticism.
In the lecture, we will look at fairy tales and myths from around the world, as well as the writings of C. G. Jung and M.-L. von Franzová on the symbol of the tree, from Cinderella to the Tree of the World. We will show that the tree can symbolize the positive or negative archetype of the mother. However, the tree, which grows from a small seed to a large individual, is also an important symbol of the process of individuation and especially of spiritual development.
