On the topic:
The 11th symposium organized by the exploratorium berlin invites you to To think of improvisation as a resonance event - aesthetic and performative, social and epistemic, sound and physical. The focus is on the examination of free, experimental improvisation in music, but references to other advanced art forms should also be made.
What does resonance mean in the context of improvisation? Can resonance be understood as a specific quality in improvisation processes? How can resonance be experienced in improvised processes – between people, spaces, sounds, times? And how can the momentary, situational, action of improvisation aimed at response and reverberation be analytically grasped via the concept of resonance?
