About event
We invite you to a professional symposium dedicated to the legacy of the architect and preservationist Ladislav Štěpánek (1906–1992), an important figure in the research and protection of folk architecture. The event will present new findings from the documentation and research of rural architecture and offer space for discussion about the current protection of this cultural heritage.

Who was Ladislav Štěpánek
Ing. arch. Štěpánek was one of the most outstanding personalities in the field of folk architecture. He worked as a regional conservator, lobbied for the rescue of endangered buildings and participated in the creation of outdoor museums in Přerov nad Labem and Třebíz.
