About event
Journalist, writer and editor Aleš Palán will present his new book This book will change your life.
The book with the subtitle Conversations about the unexpected power of reading tells the stories of people whose fate was influenced by the book. A former sex worker, the father of a sick son, a priest, the owner of an underground publishing house, a supermarket saleswoman, a detective story author or a nurse talk about their lives. All they had to do was read the right book at the right time and their lives changed completely. Suddenly it was possible to find a way out of a dead end, to become active, to cope with the adversity of the environment, or even with oneself. It may happen rarely, but a book still has the power to change people's destinies. You just have to trust her. And open it.
The evening will be conducted by Robert Tamchyna.
