About event
American singer-songwriter Kevin Morby is a prolific artist. Since his debut in 2013, he has released nine albums. Kevin Morby took his first steps in music as bassist for Woods and singer/guitarist for garage rock band The Babies. His career only really gained momentum when he started releasing records under his own name.
With his 2021 album This is A Photograph, Morby has proven that he can describe life, time and mortality in a powerful and vivid way. But such big and heavy themes require a follow-up album and that will happen. With More Photographs (2023), Morby returns with new wisdom and ideas. Supported by his well-known looping callbacks, he packs in the nine tracks - three reworks and six brand new songs - and once again proves to be a fantastic contemporary songwriter. More Photographs is a prequel, a sequel and a primer on his already rich oeuvre.
His albums are all masterpieces that fans of Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Bill Callahan as well as those of Big Thief, Iron & Wine and Courtney Barnett are at their beck and call.
