About event
Talaqpo Quintet has built a specific sound in the twelve years of its existence, which gradually transformed into an experimental hypnotic Math-rock from the acoustic jazz-world music.
The compositions of their fifth album are based on raw off -road recordings from East African villages and carefully built rhythmic structures. Fragments of songs in the language of the Ugandan Acholi tribe intertwine with a peculiar musical language of five -member bands whose background is straddled across different genres and ensembles.
pianist Vojtěch Procházka (Vertigo, Monika načeva, Bansal Trio), violinist Milan Jakes (Maomah, Prague Quite Music Collective, Free Balkan Quintet), Basista Luan Goncalves (Jungle Debris, Tongu) and drummer Jan Chalupa (E Converso, JWQ) A body that gives the contours the voice of Lucie Páchová.
