Talaqpo // PONAVA

Talaqpo Quintet has built a specific sound over twelve years of operation, which gradually transformed into an experimental hypnotic Math-rock from the acoustic jazz-world music. They do not play for the first time on Ponava, but this time they will introduce new songs from the upcoming fifth album in Brno, which draws on raw off -road recordings of singing from East African villages and sophisticated rhythms. Fragments of songs in the language of the Ugandan Acholi strain are intertwined with a distinctive musical language of five -member bands: pianist Vojtěch Procházka (Vertigo, Monika Načeva, Bansal Trio), Violinist Milan Jakes (Maomah, Prague Quite Collective, Free Balkan Quintet), Basista Luan Goncalves (Jungle (Jungle Debris, Tongu) and drummer Jan Chalupa (E Converso, JWQ) thus form a perfectly articating body that Lucie Páchová's voice gives the outlines.
