About event
🇮🇹🛵 Come and enjoy a piece of Italy in Košice. Vespy will distribute the Roman flair when they pierce the city and park before the smile. From there, the steps of visitors will be directed to the cinema, to screen the cult film Holidays in Rome. Smile
19:30 Beginning of screening
👑 Holidays in Rome
r. William Wyler, USA, 1953, 118 min.
Even the princess sometimes wants to survive a quite ordinary adventure and fall in love. His heroine is the charming young princess Anna, the successor to the throne of an imaginary European country, who comes to a state visit to Rome. After the exhausting program, it is on the verge of forces and is administered a soothing agent for the night. Before the drug begins to work, Anna secretly goes to the night streets. Along the way, drowsiness will come, so she doesn't even know how she found herself in a journalist's apartment. The next day he wants to use it for a sensational reportage and accompanies it together with his friend photographer after Rome…
Director William Wyler pushed the comedy unobtrusive perfection and lightness. Under his leadership of an experienced journalist Joe Bradley, Gregory Peck (the case of Paradin, a million banknote, old gringo, cape horror) embodied. The fragile, somewhat helpless princess Anna, an irresistible way, was portrayed by Audrey Hepburn (breakfast at Tiffany, Sharada), who also received an Oscar for her performance. Another Oscar was won by Edith Head (for the best costumes for the black and white film) and screenwriter Ian McLellan Hunter for the original screenplay who covered the real author Dalton Trumba, who was on the black list.
