Come with us to celebrate Tanabata – a traditional Japanese festival of stars, wishes and gatherings.
The 7th year of this popular summer festivities transform the castle park in Dolní Počernice into a place full of Japanese culture, music, creativity, good food and an unforgettable atmosphere.
According to an old Japanese legend, it is on this day that the star-crossed lovers Orihime and Hikoboshi can meet after a year. To this day, during Tanabata, people write their wishes on colored tanzaku paper and hang them on bamboo branches in the hope that their dreams will come true.
