About event
»Tandem Cup« Berlin – an intergenerational poetry slam, November 7th, 2025
#Berlin, October 29th, 2025
Who will win the Tandem Cup? To mark the NHU's 70th birthday, a special competition will take place on November 7, 2025 from 7 p.m. in the neighborhood house on Urbanstrasse: The “Tandem Cup”. Poetry cheeky, quiet or playful. Nobody knows what the newcomers at this poetry slam want to win the cup with. What is certain, however, is that the poets can only compete as a “mix of generations”. And the audience decides which “#Tandem” and its poetry will advance to the next round and ultimately win the “Tandem #Cup”! Be the jury! Enjoy the word competition and celebrate this piece of live #culture with us, musically accompanied by pianist Henning #Flintholm. The Urbanstraße neighborhood house warmly welcomes you to this special evening from neighbors for neighbors. Join us in choosing the winners of the Tandem Cup!
The Urbanstraße neighborhood house (NHU) is holding a #poetry #competition for the first time in its 70th anniversary year. Poetry Slammers take part, forming a team from 2 generations and competing together as a tandem. The NHU is an independent, non-profit organization in Berlin, with facilities in the Friedrichshain Kreuzberg district. Our goal is an inclusive, fair and solidarity-based community. We are committed to this with social, educational and cultural work in various areas.
