About event
A great workshop for anyone who wants to explore Argentine tango on their melodic instrument (violin, flute, accordion, harmonica, etc.).
Santiago Alvarez is one of the leading experts on Argentine folk music—his great love, however, is the tango!
In this workshop you will learn the typical elements and playing techniques of Argentine tango. These will enable you to play the traditional melodies on your instrument. You will better understand the melodies and learn how to apply the techniques to express yourself.
Which ornaments are typical of Argentinian music? How can you use phrasing, breathing effects and articulation techniques to interpret an Argentinian tango in a way that adds your personal touch while retaining its character?
