About event
Chinese tango singer Lenore Huang is a rising star in the European tango scene. In July she completed her Masters at Codarts with a concert with multi-instrumentalist Stefan Brunner, 10 Cum Laude! Tango principal subject teacher Wim Warman was there: 'What a concert that was! Masterful! Goosebumps and tears running down my back'.
Tonight this fantastic duo will perform in the Pianola Museum. Lenore and Stefan pay tribute to the legendary tango singer Roberto Goyeneche (1926-1994). Tango pianist Wim Warman, loved and known by our visitors, is also part of the performance. And who knows... there is also tango dancing!
Lenore Huang
Huang graduated Cum Laude as a Latin American singer from Codarts Rotterdam. Her musical journey then led to Argentine tango. With support from the Cultural Fund, she traveled to Buenos Aires in 2024 to study tango with local musicians. In 2025 she again obtained her Masters as an Argentine tango singer with honors. Her performance is known for a deep engagement with the lyrical essence of each piece, brought to life by her extraordinary voice, expressive phasing and multilingual skills. Her great talent has already been recognized by leading tango figures such as Gustavo Beytelmann and Omar Mollo. Huang is seen as a rising star in the European tango scene.
Stefan Brunner
Stefan Brunner obtained his academic certificate in electric bass and piano at the Music College Regensburg. He further studied at Codarts Rotterdam, specializing in Latin bass and graduated Summa Cum Laude with his own compositions and arrangements. He collaborates with Brazilian music groups such as Cantoria and Roda da Holanda and the Latin jazz quintet Cinco en Clave. He recently formed a tango duo with Lenore Huang. In his collaboration with Huang, he uses his compositional skills on various instruments and creates arrangements specifically composed for her expressive ability and sense of lyricism.
