About event
How do Amsterdammers go to Buenos Aires emigrate. And vice versa, what do Argentines who want to settle in Amsterdam experience? A storyteller tells about hope and homesickness in the world cities of Buenos Aires and Amsterdam. The stories play between 1900 and the present.
And what is the special position of the KHL in those stories?
On this summer Sunday afternoon, the Tango Orkest Amsterdam presents a special program in the context of 'Amsterdam 750 years'.
Tango Orkest Amsterdam plays impressive and exciting Argentinian tangos. To listen to or to dance on.
The orchestra plays different styles, from Troilo to Astillero and from Pugliese to Piazzolla.
Tango Orchestra Amsterdam is an Orquesta Tipica consisting of 15 instrumentalists and a singer. The orchestra members are experienced amateurs and enjoy together rehearsing and performing.
The orchestra is led by Gerard van Duinen.
