🌹 WHY BEAUTY MATTERS
The British philosopher Roger Scruton's documentary Why Beauty Matters (2009) shows us that beauty is not just a subjective feeling or a superficial decoration, but a deep need of the human soul.
She disappears from our lives because we live as if she doesn't matter.
🕊️ The author perceives beauty as a value that is as important as truth or goodness and that can offer comfort in sadness and celebration in joy, thus proving that human life has meaning.
Beauty connects us to others and to a higher order. And above all, the sense of beauty is the sense of life, because beauty lifts our soul.✨
💫 The screening will be followed by a discussion about the esoteric meaning and symbolism of the film.
📌 Wednesday, May 20 from 8:15 p.m.
📍 Venue - Avati – Kobrova 5, Prague 5-Smíchov
