About event

Daniel Garlitsky - violin
Charles Fréchette - guitar
Jérémie Pellaz - guitar
Jean-Baptiste Guerrier - bass
Tatiana Eva-Marie is a Brooklyn-based singer and bandleader who has made an international name for herself with her distinctive voice and charismatic stage presence. Born in Europe into a family of musicians – her father a Swiss-French composer, her mother a Romanian classical violinist – she was surrounded by music from an early age. From an early age she developed a dual fascination: on the one hand for her father's New Orleans jazz records, and on the other hand for her mother's rich klezmer and gypsy folk heritage. These influences still form the foundation of her artistic expression today.
In New York she founded the Avalon Jazz Band, with which she combines French-influenced jazz manouche, chanson and swing with a modern, cosmopolitan touch. Tatiana Eva-Marie has long been considered one of the most exciting voices of a young gypsy jazz generation - deeply rooted in tradition, but always with a fresh perspective and a feel for contemporary expressiveness.
