Tea Meeting: Get to know Ecuador and Turkey

In March, active volunteers Katka and Peťo will take us to Ecuador and the Galapagos and tell us about their travels around the country and interesting experiences - from swimming with seals and marine iguanas to hiking around volcanic mountains. imported from Czechoslovakia and which is said to cause the end of the world?
* Who was Lonesome George and why is the Galapagos an important symbol?
* What certificate did Peťo get at the equator?
* Why is Chimborazo technically higher than Mount Everest?
During the presentation, Madelyn, one of our ESC volunteers, will introduce us to interesting facts about Ecuador from the perspective of someone who was born there.
We will find out, for example:
* What celebration is the most popular in the country?
* Which food is the most famous on the coast of Ecuador?
We are also very happy that ESC Berra from Turkey has been with us since March. Together we will explore her motivation to join INEX through the European Solidarity Corps and learn more about her country and culture. For example
* Where can you find one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world?
* Which hero from DC comics is connected to the birthplace of Berry?
To make it even more fun, we will also prepare a small tasting - Katka and Peťo will bring something from Ecuador, there will also be a quiz and traditional food from Turkey.

Which cathedral has tiles imported from Czechoslovakia and which one is rumored to be the cause of the end of the world?
Who is Lonesome George, and why is he an important symbol in the Galápagos Islands?
What certificate has Peťo received on the equator line?
Why is Chimborazo technically higher than Mount Everest?
During this presentation Madelyn, one of our ESC volunteer, is going to give us some interesting insights about Ecuador as someone who was born there so we can also have a perspective from someone who has lived there.

We are also very happy to have our ESC volunteer Berra with us from March, we will explore her motivation for joining INEX through the European Solidarity Corps and other curiosities about her country and culture.
