Take a culinary journey with James Beard-nominated Kari Shaughnessy, chef/owner of Hayward in Carlton, Oregon. With dishes born from curiosity and rooted in community, where friends and suppliers, locals and tourists sit side by side, Chef Kari has made Hayward a place where everyone belongs.

Hear from Executive Director Jessica Elkan about the all new James Beard Public Market and how public markets impact and shape the cities they're in. This catalytic project is named after Oregon’s culinary son, James Beard, an iconic chef and author at the heart of the American culinary movement.
