Tempers

Tempers will perform at Prague's Bike Jesus on November 18 from 19:30.

Tempers is a New York project of singer and songwriter Jasmine Golestaneh, which combines poetic synth-pop with with a touch of techno, shoegaze and post-punk.

Tempers, who grew up between London and New York and were heavily influenced by the bands Fleetwood Mac, Kraftwerk and Joy Division, quickly developed into their own distinct identity on debut album Services, which features the underground dance hit Strange Harvest. The 2017 Fundamental Fantasy EP was released as a result of The Vinyl Factory Volcano Extravaganza artist residency on the Aeolian island of Stromboli. Golestaneh's interest in art led in 2018 to the release of the album Junkspace feat. Rem Koolhaas (BMG), a concept album set in a shopping mall, on which he collaborated with a famous architect through interview samples deconstructing the architecture of consumerism.

The 2019 full-length Private Life shifted the cinematic Tempers' aesthetic into more introspective landscapes and featured their most popular track to date, Capital Pains. The second album on Dais Records, New Meaning, released in 2022, features the single Unfamiliar and a 3D animated video art for the song Sightseeing. The record is accompanied by a book of handmade collages inspired by the album by Golestaneh (Moonlight Editions). In 2022, Tempers evolved from a duo with producer Eddie Cooper into an extended collaborative ensemble, both live and on record, fronted by Jasmine Golestaneh.

Highlights of recent festivals include Substance LA , Sanctum Chicago, Levitation Austin, Hypnosis Mexico, Synästhesie Berlin and Grauzone The Hague. Special events include performances at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh and sold-out headline shows at Elsewhere Brooklyn, Zebulon LA, Kantine am Berghain Berlin and Moth Club London.

Jasmine has just completed her upcoming album Delusion with producer Jorge Elbrecht between New York and Los Angeles and has more concerts and festivals confirmed throughout this year.
