About event
Why do gay and lesbian couples want to get married? Why is the paper important to them that they are a couple even before the law? And where do they want to marry when it is not possible in Slovakia? What does a rainbow wedding actually look like? And how did marriage change their relationship?
We will talk about these questions in the Tepláreň live discussion, where activist and gardener Tibor Havlik, who had a wedding with his husband in Austria, will be a guest. Culture manager Nina Vrbanová and visual artist Gabriela Birošová, who are a couple and got engaged last summer, will also be guests. The discussion is moderated by Roman Samotný.
You can watch the debate either in person at the In community center, or online on Teplárne's Facebook and Instagram and Queer Slovakia on YouTube. The interview will be in Slovak. Tepláren live is a series of discussions that bring closer the lives and stories of LGBTI+ people and, through education, strives to build a kinder and fairer society. The event was supported by the Rosa Luxemburg-Stiftung, representative office in the Czech Republic.
