Now!

Conducting, or who, how and who manages and leads? Who is more important - the conductor, the work, the performer or the audience? Who has the power and who does the work belong to?

Tereza Lenerová in her project "Don't stop" tries the possibilities of expressing the elusive world of music, passion, sexuality... The starting point for this topic is the character of the conductor, i.e. a person who at first glance, it automatically has a key to the world of music. Lenerová presents the desire to dominate the music, she is interested in the moments when she is in control of the situation, but even more so when the music (passion) is dominant and the physical expression is at first glance in disharmony.

It asks when and how we take on the role of conductor in our lives, how much we hold passion in our hands and when, on the contrary, passion keeps us under control. Who is the conductor within us?

"I tried to go deeper into the question of why I'm interested in the conductor and I found out that I'm interested in other topics such as power, control and related things, but also what it's like not to be in control and allow yourself to be fragile and vulnerable. I asked myself what passion means to me, how big a role it plays in relation to my body, and together in relation to music I tried to grasp the tension it represents for me."

On the Czech Dance Platform In 2019, Tereza Lenerová received a special recognition from the International Jury for her production Neprestávej for intensive movement research, thanks to which she achieved an exceptional presence on stage and at the same time created a strongly intimate and fascinating atmosphere.
