The Potoň Theater is one of the independent theater groupings that, despite the positive evaluation of the expert committee, did not receive from the FPU Council this year or the Euro. In the Citadel, they will perform with their project Terra Apathy, which draws from the story of the village of Horné Opatovce. After the construction of the aluminum in Žiar nad Hronom faced an ecological disaster and was later destroyed and erased from the map. 8 €

The theater Potoň was established in 2000. It operates outside the capital of Slovakia, but almost in its geographical center. It is profiled as a theater that favors author's work, but it does not resist the classic it brings in an unconventional interpretation.
The core of the theater consists of director Iveta Ditte Jurčová and dramaturg and author Michal Ditte. Their common productions combine a sense of metaphor and poetry, while not missing exaggeration, humor, often exaggeration or cartoon. The creatures focus on finding interesting and controversial social themes, whose production is preceded by field research and collection of authentic material. Several productions were successfully presented at domestic and foreign festivals.
In addition to the creation of productions, progressive forms of audience and professional artists and artists have space in the theater. In an attractive and interactive form, it seeks to bring art to art in general and theater separately to students and students. In addition to the education of youth, the Theater Potoň is also preparing projects for experienced theater professionals and professionals in the form of workshops on various topics (movement, working with voice, writing games). Intensive work on these projects has been systematized and resulted in the establishment of the Center of Arts and Creativity, which has been operating since 2008.
The theater Potoň won the Plate Award for the Best Party of the Season in 2018. 12).
