Human existence, tense in the fragile material of being, gives birth to opposites that lead to despair once, sometimes to silent humility. Camus was looking for answers to the challenges of the nonsensical world through an absurd novel, while János Pilinszky discovered deeper layers of existence in humility and receiving the world's contradictions. At the same time, art is also a means of: a language in which absurdity is not a bracket, but a gate. They capture volatile moments of car movement, fragile documents of the rapidly passing time. Painted ink lines keep the last touch of reality, but thanks to embroidery these lines will be born - just as memory constantly gives a new shape of the past. The third layer, placed on the fabric of old curtains, represents the memory itself, faded and melting like an old dream. The numeric series, which indicates the days of the Ukrainian-Russian war, continues as well as the time, which is also measurable and incomprehensible. Layers and embroidery are not only technical elements, but philosophical metaphors of the fragility of being. Human experience here is transformed into tissue of volatile moments and subjective darkness of memories. February 2025.
