Horror musical comedy

A mysterious grim house in seclusion somewhere outside the city near the cemetery. Here lives a somewhat peculiar Addams family, whose members enjoy the ghostly to morbid humor. Their favorite color is black and consider death to be the most beautiful thing in life. However, the everyday fearsome routine of the Addams family will change vigorously when young Wednesday brings his new friend Lucas. What's more? Lucas's parents and Wednesday, who is exchanged, should also visit this demonic household, demands their relatives to behave normally. As normal people - that is, quite differently than what they are used to. During the dinner, where there are a lot of embarrassing ascents, Wednesday eventually to reassure the situation, announces that they will be taken with Lucas, which is all that just waves…
death in 1988. Charles Addams drew over 1,300 comics in his life. In the sixties, popular characters also got on television screens in a feature series, where they got names that remained to this day. This was followed by several animated series as well as feature feature films. Meanwhile, the last animated film version of the stories of haunted and entertaining families premiered in 2019, in 2021 followed the second episode. In 2022, the streaming company Netflix presented the first eight episodes of Wednesday (directed by Tim Burton, Gandja Monteiro and James Marshall). The series about smart, sarcastic and a little heartless Miss Addams is to continue with the second series in 2023.

The musical adaptation was based on the workshop of Broadway Matadors Marshall Brickman (among others permanent collaborator Woody Allen) and Rick Elice, who wrote libretto and music. The song lyrics were created by Andrew Lippa, the author of the song for the musical Velký Fish (Big Fish). The musical could first see the audience in Chicago in 2009, but the official Broadway premiere was seen at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater in New York on April 8, 2010. Brno Theater on the music scene directed by Stanislav Slovák.
