The Army, The Navy is a Musical duo consisting of two childhood friends who once shared a singing teacher - and discovered their shared vocal harmony in the process. Sasha Goldberg and Maia Ciambriello met in the Bay Area and later honed their musical skills while studying in New Orleans. There they further developed their clear, thoughtful songwriting style. Their music combines catchy, poppy melodies with deep themes about growing up. Supported by minimalist and effective production, they manage to translate personal experiences into songs - supported by a remarkable vocal harmony that reflects their close connection.

Although the two artists spent their childhood close to each other, they only came together as a band later - in practice rooms at university, at living room jams and small DIY gigs in Louisiana's idiosyncratic indie scene. Via New Orleans their path finally led to Los Angeles, where they worked on their promising EPs “Fruit For Flies” and “Sugar For Bugs”. These releases are an honest and passionate entry into her musical world - characterized by openness, intuition and a palpable connection.
