About event
Seven Totally True Tales, one Lying McLiarpants, and a possible night at the Edgefield on us if you can tell which is which1
Pants On Fire! features eight of the Pacific Northwest’s premier storytellers, comedians, artists, radio & television personalities, writers, celebrities and musicians telling some of the most outrageous, hard-to-believe, 100% true stories you've ever heard. The problem is, one of our storytellers will be lying to your face, telling a complete whopper that never happened.
Think you can figure out which ones are telling the truth, and which one's pants are on fire? If you can, you might win a bunch of cool stuff, including sponsor swag, concert tickets, and an overnight stay at the Edgefield Winery & Hotel. Or try to win the Bag O’ Somewhat Valuable Prizes with our Two Truths & A Lie Audience Cage Match!
As always, our annual Thanksgiving weekend BestOf show features the best comedians and storytellers from the past year, as voted on by our fans.
Our Family/Friendly show is an all-ages event, featuring eight of the most amazing, hard-to-believe s stories you’ll ever hear — one of them, of course, being entirely made up. Please note that although the show is all-ages, some stories will likely be more PG-13 than G. (If you prefer more adult content, our later Filthy Freaky show will be the exact same format — but with less family/friendly fare.)
Featuring new (mostly) true stories from the novelist and voice of OPB Jason Sauls; comedian and CHURCH: Wrath producer Star Dell'Era, Moth Radio Hour alumni and ROUGH DRAFT host Kahlie Towle; legendary storyteller and host of It’s Not Me, It’s You Alina Aliyar, voice actor, producer for The Portland Moth and Iron Man Dave Williams; schoolteacher and 7DS: MainStage and Saturnalia alum Pat McCreery; writer, activist, and U of O professor Alison Gash; private detective and creator of ROAR: Fierce Female Storytelling Erika Worth; and more!
