π The Clause (10:00 p.m.)
(Indie rock - Birmingham, UK)
The Clause are a four-piece band from Birmingham that combine 60s swagger, 80s groove and verve and riotous attitude of the 90s. Pearce Macca (vocalist), Niall Fennell (drummer), Jonny Fyffe (bassist) and Liam Deakin (guitarist) effortlessly combine huge hooks with gritty verses, indie sensibilities and grooves and rhythm and blues melodies to create an entirely different beast.
The music defies categorization, moving seamlessly from crashing percussion to huge, swinging basses. There are epic choruses aimed at stadiums and festival main stages, and darker, edgier moments that evoke late-night cruises through seedy alleyways. The band have been together since childhood and have matured into one of the UK's most exciting new bands.
The band have been hitting the road relentlessly since February 2022 with a string of sold-out headlining tours as well as opening acts with James, The Lottery Winners, The Reytons, Pigeon Detectives, DMAs, The Enemy and The Snuts. They supported K's sold-out spring tour and will follow up with 15 dates in major UK cities throughout November and December, including London, Glasgow, Manchester and Liverpool, as well as a huge return concert in Birmingham.
