About event
The Duck After
Does the term environmental anxiety speak to you?
Our main character, a yellow plastic toy, has it... out of her.
In this bold work focused on the environmental issues of our world, you will live with a rubber duck a story that begins with a real event.
In 1992, a shipping container full of plastic ducks fell out of a cargo ship during a storm. Thanks to them, oceanographers were able to describe how ocean currents work. Our main character is a duck who does not want to jump out of the container. He wants to become a bathroom toy and find a home, but fate wants it differently. He falls into the clutches of the evil, dirty Denis.
The play full of humor forms a contrast with the serious themes, which gives the performance strength, dynamism and inner tension. The funny and at the same time gentle songs of the main character offer a penetrating look into her inner being as a living being, she wants to be useful, but she encounters an ugly reality. In the story, we come across topics such as the abuse of environmentalism in favor of the world of consumerism. But don't get carried away by the negativity. On the scene, you will not meet with a lesson, but also with a clear way out. The performance leads to a critical insight into these topics. After the performance, we offer the opportunity to discuss environmental topics with an expert.
