Hungry for more poetry before 2025 comes to a close? Take a bite out of this event - the Food Poetry Slam!
This poetry event is a space for poets to share work that is about all things food. Poems can be as literal (an ode to hamburgers! a rant against seltzer water! you once worked at a taco bell!) or as metaphorical (your ex reminds you of sugar free desserts! falling is love is like baking a cake!) or as political (every person on this planet deserves to eat!!!) as you'd like - but poems must stay on theme.
This Food Poetry Open Mic + Slam is taking place at 7:00pm on Sunday November 15th at COFFEE BEER (4142 SE 42nd Ave). The show is all ages, and the venue will have food and drinks for purchase.
This is a fundraiser for the Bigfoot Poetry Festival. Suggested $10 donation.
This show is also a FOOD DRIVE! Please bring non pershiable items to donate, which we will be donating to Milk Crate Kitchen.
