The GOLDEN VOICES OF GOSPEL is a team of professional artists from the American gospel scene under the direction of musical director Reverend Dwight Robson. For over 20 years, they have been presenting African-American church music with historic black spirituals and gospels on stages, festivals and in churches across Europe. Among others, GOLDEN VOICES OF GOSPEL performed as a choir for Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Bonnie Tyler, Mireille Mathieu, André Rieu Orchestra, David Hasselhoff and others.
The GOLDEN VOICES OF GOSPEL invite you on a journey through the centuries spirituals, traditionalists and gospels in his very personal and inimitable way. Sometimes melancholic, sometimes exuberantly spirited gospels, supported by a fantastic rhythm section, will "get under your skin" like few other music. And yet they are church songs, such as are sung in the services of "black churches" in the USA and the Caribbean.
The vast musical repertoire of these charismatic voices suggests that the roots of almost all important "modern" musical styles of the past centuries (blues, jazz, rock, beat, etc.) go all the way to gospel music.
After an extremely successful European tour, they will visit again to us. You can look forward to songs like "Oh When The Saints", "Glory Glory Hallelujah", "Swing Low Sweet Chariot", "Motherless Child", "Joshua fit the Battle of Jericho" or "O Happy Day".
The duration of the concert is 2 x 60 min. with a 20-minute break.
In a festive New Year's atmosphere and in an exceptional environment, black spirituals, gospels and popular hits will be heard in a more than two-hour program.
