About event
The Guilt | Malmö, Sweden
("Like Roxette with knives")
Naked Rat Dance is a fearless mix of cranked up riot grrrl punk, exquisitely stupid synthesizers and pounding guitars. This music scratches every surface – and every nerve. Dance floor aggression management for glitter-covered and genre-flexible people.
"Playing live is our only truly functioning magic. Celebrating a live show together is magical. But we also live in a time in which we all have to get involved - organize shows - show up, stay committed. That too is magic."
After the sweaty success of their cassette EP "Note to Tape" from the 2023 (featuring remixes from GHLOW, ABU NEIN and 100BLUMEN) and popular 2025 queer anthem “Our Feline House” – the official song of Malmö Pride 2025 – The Guilt are ready to make 2026 their loudest year yet. The upcoming album, which will be released via Icons Creating Evil Art, offers garage goth ballads, power punk bangers, queer anthems and songs for “fairly normal witches”.
The Guilt are no strangers to German stages and in German supermarkets:
“One of our main activities in Germany is grocery shopping. We give ours for curry ketchup, mate and vegan cevapcici Fees out. We seriously talked about upgrading the tour bus to fit more snacks. That's just how we are."
"We also heard that there is a raccoon invasion somewhere in Germany. We know that can be problematic, but honestly? If we met a raccoon it would probably be the best day of our lives. Except for the day we got to play with the seals on Helgoland. That stays unbeatable."
