Trends, many rock bands only rinse ashore to remove them with the next wave. Not so the Lombego Surfers. Since 1989, the three warriors from Boston and Basel have been riding through Europe. Streams leave them cold. They only follow the FREUBUTER flags that Dirk Bonsma draws on their bones. Wherever they put on, there is usually no gold. A barrel rum, whiskey or beer is enough for the trio to start a hearty surf’n’roll interrelation. Too sweaty, rough and dirty? Go eat shit and die!
with guitar, bass and drums they board the city around land, which is why the press recently gave them titles such as “Legends of Passion” or “The Gods of the Underground”. Uuhhhhh, Spooky - but not undeserved. Just in times when other cult bands like Dead Moon are stroking the sails, the mission of the Lombegos gains importance: Keep it real and stripped down to the bones!
