The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King - Extended Version

They're taking the hobbits to Isengard! Peter Jackson's groundbreaking LOTR trilogy remains one of the highlights of blockbuster cinema more than twenty years after its release. For many, this was also the first introduction to the world of orcs, elves, vast green landscapes and epic battles. This year we can happily prepare for a new film adaptation of the beloved fantasy world of J.R.R. Tolkien! In honor of the release of The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, we are once again showing the Extended Versions of the original trilogy. All screenings include an intermission.

The hobbits Sam and Frodo, together with Gollum, begin the last part of their journey towards Mordor, to try to destroy the mighty ring in the lion's den. Meanwhile, the armies of Gondor are also moving towards Mordor in the hope of finally dealing with Sauron's armies there.
