The Mary Wallopers in Paradiso

The Mary Wallopers is a folk band from Dundalk in Irish. The band initially starts with Sean McKenna and the brothers Charles and Andre Hendy. Unlike many other musicians who go to London or Manchester to make music, the trio prefers to stay in Dundalk; According to them the best place on earth. From their barn they start making covers of old Irish folk ballads, live streams and from there the album 'A Mouthful of the Mary Wallopers' was born. To give their versions more Schwung, the band has now been extended to seven members; Roisin Barret on Bas, Brendan Mcinerney on Drum, Seamas Hyland on accordion and Finian O'Connor on the flute. The band has a rustic and raw energy and is musically between The Clancy Brothers and Dead Kennedys.
