We cordially invite you to Vašulka Kitchen Brno for a guided tour of the exhibition Michaela Davidová: The Metabolising Analogue, which will take place on Wednesday 5. 2. 2025 at 18:30 in the house of the Lords of Kunštát.

The exhibition will be presented by her curator Marika Svobodová, Tatiana Drgonec Dižová and Gajane Achverdjanová.

The exhibition of Michaela Davidová on the border of art research and processing is an example of an approach to environmental photography. Alternative analog photographic procedures are examined by the author in connection with the digestive metabolic processes of organisms. Fibrous fungi and root systems penetrate the bowels of photography; They nibble and decompose its mass. Fabric and energy transformation and relationships between materials, human and non-human, show the possibilities of ecological and posthumanistic thinking in photographic practice.

Michaela Davidová (*1988) is an artist and researcher from Ostrava who lives today and forms in Tilburg, Netherlands. She graduated from the Bachelor-Greside Artist, Designer: Maker in Cardiff (UK) and Master's artistic field of Ecology Futures on Bosch Day (NL). Among other things, she works as a lecturer of alternative photographic processes, she is a coordinator of BIO Art [Mi] Lab in Caradt and a co -audience of projects in Tilburg Sea Foundation. He cooperates and supports the community team Sustainable Darkroom (UK) and is also a member of the film laboratory of Filmwerkplaats in Rotterdam.
