THE MORLOCKS (USA) in Barcelona, UPLOAD
Tickets: www.mutick.com and www.musikaze.net
THE MORLOCKS as a band have more than earned their stripes in this rock and roll Formed in San Diego in 1984, they became one of the basic pillars of the west coast scene, currently being one of the great bands of the so-called 60's garage-punk, sharing a throne with groups such as Fuzztones, Lyres, Chesterfield Kings or Cynics
From their debut album "Emerge" (1985) to their last album to date "Bring On The Mesmeric Condition" from the end of 2018, (recorded in different locations such as Freiburg, Düseldorf, Koln and Berlin. Mixed and mastered by "Jim Diamond" from the Dirtbombs to give it that "Motor City" sound and the "fat" necessary to make the songs sound, being for the first time in the band's recordings all the original songs), the breakups, changes in formation, moves from city to city and at the same time changes in people's musical tastes, but the Morlocks have not stopped growing, getting stronger over the years. They have died and resurrected several times, always for the better, their fans continue to multiply and their legend continues. In 1999, Spin Magazine published the death of their energetic and charismatic leader, Leighton Koizumi (also in the highly recommended Gravedigger V) h. Needless to say, Leighton (far from being dead) continues to lead the band, a position he has held since the time of Emerge, their debut album. The Morlocks have since been performing and releasing albums, seeing how some of their songs have been requested for films, television shows or video games.
