The O.R.B. + Raw Deal
Event by: Klub 007 Strahov, Kreas Promotion
Location: Club 007 - Strahov, Chaloupeckého 1903/6, Praha 6
About event
Lucifers Rider aka Pepa Křepelka slides on his vintage chopper bike to the threshold of this psych / hard rock firecracker from Australia and Kreas will gladly grease his chain with a joint collaboration! Get ready for classic riffs and classic beards from King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, on whose label Flightless Records ORB released their early records.
ORB is a heavy-psych power-trio from Geelong, Australia, combining doom-laden riffs, frayed proto-metal and cosmic groove. Consisting of Zak Olsen, Daff Gravolin and John Zacharias, the band has gone from casual jams to becoming one of Australia's most distinctive underground psychedelic rock bands.
They made their debut with the cassette Womb (2015) before breaking up with the albums Birth (2016) and Naturality (2017), which featured their signature blend of Sabbath, psychedelic and unusual tunes. After a period of silence, ORB returned with the album Tail Bend (2024) and expanded their musical palette with sun-baked psych-pop and funk rhythms. In 2025, the band self-released their first single with new drummer John Zacharius. "Mind Over Matter /
End Times" is a catchy track that draws the band's
rhythm & blues influences from the early 1960s. After debuting the single
on Seattle's KEXP radio, the band was invited to
perform live
to kick off their US tour in 2025.
Live, ORB operate as a raw, improvisational power-trio - loud,
hypnotic and heavy without prejudice. With one foot in classic
hard rock and the other in the extremes of psychedelic
experimentation, ORB are constantly evolving and at the same time
remaining unmistakably themselves.
The kraut rock band RAW DEAL from the Stoned To Death stable will play as support!
Admission 350,-
