About event
We have prepared for you a unique musical experience that combines two important anniversaries - the 35th anniversary of the Gentle Revolution and the 50th anniversary of the cult album Egon Bondy's Happy Hearts Club Banned by the legendary band The Plastic People of the Universe! This memorable date, November 17, is also of great importance for our festival Weekend of Attractive Theater (VAD), which was created in 1989 in the Hviezda na Sliači cinema hall.
In honor of the anniversary of the album Egon Bondy's Happy Hearts Club Banned, in cooperation with the Jozef Gregor Tajovský Theater and Boris Kršňák, the founder of VAD, have prepared a special concert for you where you will be able to enjoy this iconic album in a new interpretation. Former members of the band: Josef Janíček, Jan Brabec, Vladimír Dědek, Tomáš Schilla and Ivan Bierhanzl will perform on stage, returning to the authentic sound that defined the Plastikov's music.
Come celebrate these extraordinary milestones with us and experience an unforgettable evening full of raw, psychedelic and dark rock music that changed the face of Czech-Slovak culture. Plus, you'll have the chance to take home a remastered edition of this album, released as a special double album by Guerilla Records!
Join us on November 16th and be a part of this celebration of musical revolution and freedom!
