BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE and TRIVIUM will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iconic « The Poison » and « Ascendancy » by playing them in full.

After announcing the initial dates of The Poisoned Ascendancy Tour 2025 last February, and generated a lot of speculation online, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE and TRIVIUM have just revealed the details of the huge joint tour that will take them on a tour of the Old Continent early next year. The tour, which will see the two bands celebrate two decades of the iconic albums «The Poison» and «Ascendancy» by playing them in full, includes a unique date in Portugal, scheduled for February 26, 2025, at Sagres Campo Pequeno, in Lisbon .
"Honestly, I can't believe it's been twenty years since «The Poison» was released," says Matt Tuck of BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE. "I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved as a band over the last two decades and it all started with that debut album. On a personal and musical level, 'The Poison' is a very important part of our lives and we know the huge impact it has had in the world of metal on a global level.”
"«The Poison» and «Ascendancy» are two albums whose influence can be heard to this day – they are in the DNA of modern metal", declares Matt Heafy, by TRIVIUM. "It's incredible to think about the impact these albums had when they were released in 2005. They were both like rays of light. The bands grew independently of each other in different countries and separately from any movement or scene, but both shared a common love for melodic metal; and both had very similar meteoric rises right from the start."
The American musician continues: "We found ourselves caught in a hurricane when the albums came out and never got to play together or relax and celebrate during the whirlwind of constant touring, recording and traveling around the world. This anniversary tour will be a celebration of a pivotal era and, most importantly, it's an invitation to fans to come out and have an epic night with us, celebrating the incredible power of music." Tuck concludes: "This is going to be the ultimate metal tour 2025. Let's celebrate the 20th anniversary of both albums and play them in full. Released in 2005, the impact of both albums on the evolution of modern metal is undeniable. For BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, their debut «The Poison» took them to unimaginable heights. That year, the Welsh metallers began supporting Funeral For A Friend on a UK tour and, just a few months later, were headlining them. , «Ascendancy» became the first classic of TRIVIUM's already long career. It was proclaimed "Album of the Year" by Kerrang!, reached gold status in the United Kingdom and has since surpassed global sales of 500,000 copies. main event at the Download festival that year, the Florida band – made up of four musicians just out of their teens – performed a show that left the public with no doubt that they were seeing future legends, with Kerrang! later voting it as the 10th best show of all time.
