The Possibilities of the Palm_Rastislav Podhorský

The exhibition of the Slovak artist Rastislav Podhorský entitled The Potsbilities of the Palm in the Trenčín Gallery Nová Wave, curated by Miroslava Urbanová, presents the current open line from the whole of his existing painting work. This series consists of predominantly smaller and medium -sized formats, in which the author entered himself a formal restriction to come to abstract intensity forms: its typical figures thus become the effect of the abstract nature of the painting language. The figurative poetics of foothill work is inseparable in this selection from the examination of the painting possibilities. The predominantly male polfigures, often depicted from a profile, with activity reduced to hands activity, is only an apparent motivational limit. In fact, the exhibition shows a number of works of a relatively wide painter's shot, but it always characterizes the sense of time.
