The Rions in Bitterzoet

The Australian Indiepopband The Rions, consisting of four childhood friends from Avalon, has developed in a short time from school project to public favorite. Since winning Triple J’s Unearthed High in 2021, the foursome has steadily built their reputation, with the highlights of their debut EP 'Minivan' and sold-out shows in both Australia and Great Britain. In 2024 the band finally broke through with their second EP 'Happiness in a Place It Shouldn't Be', which came in on #4 in the Aria Top Australian albums Charts. With their characteristic mix of indie rock and pop, influenced by acts such as The Japanese house, Role Model and Sam Fender, The Rion's music makes singable choruses and sincere lyrics. Their latest single 'Shut You Out' heralds a new phase, in which raw grunge elements predominate.
