About event
As the first point of contact with the ground, the foot is a fundamental region in human biomechanics. Whether running, jumping, accelerating or changing direction, the foot plays a crucial role in absorbing impact forces and transmitting forces produced by the proximal joints.
Scientific data that produced over the past decade demonstrate the importance of both intrinsic and extrinsic muscles for optimizing energy conservation and lower limb propulsion.
Therefore, the real challenge for a clinician lies in his ability around the muscles of the foot of his patients effectively.
After this course, the student will be able to:
1. Objectively assess the muscle strength of the foot.
2. Effectively strengthen the cushioning and propulsive muscles of the foot for rehabilitation or athletic development purposes.
3. Improve the plyometric capabilities, reactive strength and explosiveness of the foot-ankle complex.
Date: Friday 10 and Saturday 11 January 2025
