About event
The SuperSoul Brothers
The SuperSoul Brothers release their 3rd album on May 17, 2024 on Dixiefrog Records. Its name: By The Way! Well-felt melodies, polished arrangements, the Deep Soul surge from Béarn is reinventing itself to better make us dance and dream.
A Fireworks-style Release Party, where, when the spirit of Memphis invites itself to Paris… By the way.
The SuperSoul Brothers is the most popular soul-funk rock group most active and most respected in the great South-West of France. He returns to the news with his third and brand new album "By The Way" on May 17, 2024 on the Dixiefrog Records label.
With this studio album The SuperSoul Brothers raise the level even further by leaving their comfort zone, successfully trying out more funky experiences. The musicians propel David Noël’s voice to the heights. It’s delicate, exquisite, fresh and sometimes dancing like never before. A more mature album that explores themes of introspection, loss, sharing, joys and the passage of time. Each track paints a portrait of the group and their journey through life, filled with both moments of happiness and difficulties. This new recording of 12 tracks offers a ballad between Rock & Soul and Nola Funk. Each song is an event, a universe in itself. The group, united around their leader, vibrates and composes together. Playing simple is the hardest thing in the world and The SuperSoulBrothers, without a doubt, will conquer hearts as they recently conquered the hearts of the South of the United States during their incredible adventure by finishing in the Final Four of the 'International Blues Challenge (IBC) in January 2024 in Memphis, USA. Apotheosic conclusion to a Road Trip followed almost directly by their fans on their social networks.
As an echo and an extension of this human and musical saga, the new album of the SuperSoul Brothers offers a collection of tracks with arrangements polished, heavy anthems that come from the heart. This record can be listened to and sung. It is both contemplative and jubilant. Close your eyes and let yourself be transported to the South of the United States or the South-West of France! “Red Hot, Smoking Soul Blues” as the prestigious “Blues Foundation” sums it up so well about them.
The SuperSoul Brothers (SSB) is made up of singer David Noël, guitarist Pierre-Antoine Dumora , bassist Ludovic Timoteo, drummer Olivier Pelfigues, trombonist Julien Suhubiette, keyboardist Julien Stantau and the sweet voice of Miss Claire Rousselot-Paillez.
Drawing his inspiration from the best (James Brown, Otis Redding, Little Richard and Lee Fields), Feelgood Dave is rightly considered one of the best frontmen of his generation.
