About event
He arranges a brand new selection from his incredibly diverse score collection.
Powerful. Powerful. Beautiful. Dramatic. Stunning. Powerful. Touching. This is the music of two-time Academy Award® winner Hans Zimmer. His successful show “The World of Hans Zimmer” will receive a new musical program in 2024 and will simultaneously become an international concert series. The new title “A New Dimension” already suggests it: Hans Zimmer is arranging a brand new selection from his incredibly diverse score collection for “The World of Hans Zimmer – A New Dimension”. The audience is taken on a unique musical journey and immerses themselves in completely new dimensions. “The World of Hans Zimmer – A New Dimension” will be performed in Europe with over 30 dates in thirteen countries.
The previous concert tour “The World of Hans Zimmer - A Symphonic Celebration” started for the first time in Germany in 2018 and has been on a triumphant march through the world ever since.
Even in “The World of Hans Zimmer – A New Dimension” Hans Zimmer is not live on stage himself, but acts as one Curator and musical director of the show. “With this new show I want to preserve the culture of the orchestra and bring the unique facets of orchestral music back to the audience. There are many background stories that I would like to tell and long-time companions and friends would like to introduce," says Zimmer.
Soundtrack conductor Gavin Greenaway - a long-time and trusted friend of the Hollywood composer - will also be performing in 2024 together with some of Zimmer's most outstanding, renowned soloists Talent factory and a masterful symphony orchestra conjure up the magic of Hans Zimmer's works for the live audience. “We musicians enjoy every second live on stage together, without anyone being the big star. The star is the music,” Gavin Greenaway tries to put into words how the great interaction of all the musicians works in this special concert series. “The show is an absolute thrill, and we love it.” Powerful projections of film sequences also create a breathtaking atmosphere for the audience.
With “The World of Hans Zimmer”, the 'Hollywood Rebel' has (BBC) created a glamorous, lively, exciting live experience of a special kind.
Hans Zimmer's extraordinary melodies and modern compositions captivate a huge worldwide fan base across generations. He has already breathed life into countless international cinema blockbusters. These include, among others, "Dune", James Bond "No Time To Die" "The Lion King", "Gladiator", "Pirates of the Caribbean", "The Dark Knight" trilogy, "Interstellar", "Last Samurai" or " Top Gun: Maverick.” The double album “The World of Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration” was released in 2019 via Sony Classical.
Presented by Semmel Concerts, RCI Global & Tomek Productions.
